Started with the cadets in 1957 as a fifer, when I "graduated" from the corps in late 60's I was drum major. Had many wonderful years with the corps. Cheryl Conway Anderson from 65th place was the Color Guard Captain and we shared a wonderful friendship. Others were Bob Figgers, George Reese, the Struceks, the Cullen sisters, the Griffins - Mary and John, Walter whose last name I forgot. My brother played bugle and moved up to trumpet in the 60's. He played Danny Boy for Msgr. Fox's funeral procession. Would love to hear from some of the "older" cadets.

Bass Drummer in the Cadets for many years. I'm still in touch with many former members, the Struceks, Griffins, Drackers. When would a reuniom be scheduled for?

Hi Jack, How are you? How's the family? I'm thinking of trying for Sat June 12th in the evening after the Alumni mass. I have a few places in Nassau County in mind depending on the response. Would you be interested in attending?

Hi, everyone! It would be great to see as many of you as possible. I spoke with Sue last night and we're in touch with many of the 1960-1975 crowd. I'm going to call Mary Griffin, but don't know where Dottie Cullen is. Hey, Kathy Murphy, my Majorette when I was a twirler! Hope to hear from you! My brother, Edward, is still living in Woodside--ironically, in the apartment we grew up in. He and his wife, Diane (who wasn't a Cadet!) moved in when my Mom passed away in 1993. As many of you know, my Dad has been gone since 1979; he officially folded the Cadets in June, and then died on 7/12. I always thought it was somewhat apropos since Cadets was so much a part of his and our family's life. My husband, Ted, was the last quartermaster; we have four boys, the oldest of which (Robert, 18) is currently in the Army Reserve @ Fort Jackson, SC. Well, you can see I still talk forever! Let's get together and have some fun. I know there is plenty of equipment and uniforms still out there!! Fish them out and bring them along. Let me hear from you soon!

After speaking with Eileen we decided it would be a good idea to plan our Cadets reunion in Sept. or Oct. We don't want to conflict with the alumni coctail party and June is a little too soon with graduations to plan a nice party. Keep in touch and let us know if you would be intersted in attending a cadets reunion in Sept or Oct.
