Okay, So I must have started something with this posting three times thing, everyone is getting into the act. On Sept. 11 My whole life changed. I was the maintenance manager for WTC 1 and after the attacks I was moved around by my employer to a half dozen different locations trying to find a spot for me which eventually led to my being a victim of a company cost cut. In order to make ends meet I placed an ad in the Pennysaver advertising "Jack's Handyman Services" and the phone began ringing off the hook. Business really took off. I decided to go into this on a full time basis and am now employing a full staff of laborers, painters, carpenters, landscapers, engineeres, electricians and plumbers. We service Nassau County. I am also listed in most community newspapers. You'll get a 10% discount if you can show me my ad, lol.

Oh, ok. I have been representing the Port on their insurance claim from 9/11 and have dealt with guys like Alan Reiss and Dennis Malapolski. Did you know them?

Tim, Though the names sound familiar, I dont beleive I did business with them. The two PA guys I dealt with, Eddie Krauss and I dont recall the others name at the moment, both perished that day.

Hi guys! I finally figured out how to re-log on! Good thing Ted knows what he's doing!
Joe T. - Did you get the "grinder" recipe? Also, now I understand how you know so much about how smiley faces magically appear!
Jackie - My husband worked at 100 Church St. and watched it all. Luckily he got the last train out of Manhattan and was home by 10:15 am. Had to commute to Summit, NJ for the next six months & then return to a bldg. whose air quality was "attainable". I know what he went thru--and it's nothing compared to what you must have gone through. Glad you're still here!
Jeanie Monahan was coming up out of the subway as the bldg. was coming down; luckily, someone grabbed her and took her to one of the ER set-ups. A few minor burns and throat problems, but otherwise OK. Joe Monahan lost quite a few of the guys from his firehouse and worked at the rescue site for quite a while.
Enough of 9/11 for now! Bad enough we have to live with "terrorist threat" info day in and day out...
So who's going to actually make the Homecoming on 6/12? Where should we look for each other?
Sue O'N- did you speak with A. Smith re: a "sign-in" table/sheet for Cadets? If so, I don't remember your answer. Sorry!
